Program Training and Consultation Centre Strategic Planning
The Alder Group carried out a strategic planning exercise, including a document review, stakeholder interviews, focus groups and a one-day planning retreat, to identify an optimal administrative and governance structure for the Program Training and Consultation Centre within Cancer Care Ontario.
Retreat for the Development of a Strategic Framework for Health Canada’s International Activities
The Alder Group facilitated a departmental consultation to engage senior departmental executives in the development of a Strategic Framework for Health Canada’s International Activities and produced the meeting report.
Regional Strategic Action Plan for Public Health Agency of Canada
The Alder Group worked with the Office of the Director General and PHAC Regional Offices to assist in the development of a Regional Strategic Action Plan designed to serve as a road map to guide the work of the six Regional Offices as they contribute to PHAC mission and priorities over 2006-2009. The Plan was the first such long-term strategic planning exercise of the Regional Offices since the creation of PHAC in 2004. The Alder Group worked closely with the Director General, Regions and a Regional Management Team to develop an initial framework for the plan; to identify and to draft key Plan components through a facilitated staff process consisting of two Planning Session and a ‘Town Hall’ video conference involving Regional Directors, Managers and other Regional Office staff; to participate in the planning of the two staff sessions and facilitate the sessions; and to provide advice to the Planning Team on the Plan’s ongoing refinement, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
