Jean-Marc Dupont, CEO and Principal Consultant
Jean-Marc Dupont, co-founder of The Alder Group Inc., is the firm's Chief Executive Officer, as well as one of its Principal Consultants. Renowned as a health promotion leader, he is an expert project manager with the talent to see clarity in complexity and manage projects with rigour and focus. Mr. Dupont is the creator of The Process Blueprint™, an innovative and simple to use package of tools and methodologies aimed at simplifying the complexities inherent in project management.
Mr. Dupont brings a background of over 21 years in project management, participatory consultation, communications planning, program evaluation, resource development, community animation, and training. He has designed and managed a wide range of multi-stakeholder projects, including all of The Alder Group‘s large-scale consultation assignments. Mr. Dupont has completed numerous assignments for branches of Health Canada, The Public Health Agency of Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Canadian Public Health Association, and a wide range of other government and non-governmental association clients.
Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Dupont spent several years in the federal public service with Health and Welfare Canada where one of his key portfolios consisted of tracking health system reform initiatives in Canada and internationally, with a particular focus on comprehensive community health organizations such as Community Health Centres and other similar primary health care service delivery models. During his tenure he also co-authored the popular book Community Health Centres and Community Development and the Community Action Pack resource kit.
Mr. Dupont is an experienced facilitator and a strong communicator. He brings a health promotion, public health, social policy, and research background to the team, holds security clearance federally at the Secret level, and is fluently bilingual. Mr. Dupont is also the winner of an Ottawa Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, as well as an Executive of the Year award from the Regroupement des gens d‘affaires de la capitale nationale business association.
