Lori Anderson , Associate Consultant
Lori Anderson is a talented editor who brings especially strong organizing skills and a focused attention to detail to all her assignments. With over a decade of experience at Health Canada, Ms. Anderson has also written and edited numerous journal articles and supplements, literature reviews, research reports, educational resources, magazines, newsletters, web site content, fact sheets, program descriptions and conference proceedings.
A gifted plain language editor, Ms. Anderson has the ability to edit scientific and technical texts to make them more approachable for a broader range of audiences. Her breadth and depth of experience spans the academic, government and NGO sectors.
Ms. Anderson provides clients of The Alder Group with stylistic and copy editing services and is familar with several stylistic guidelines, including the APA Formatting and Style Guide. She has completed several assignments for The Canadian Journal of Psychiatry, the Canadian Medical Association Journal, Statistics Canada's Health Reports, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Health Canada’s Tobacco Control Programme, the Canadian Public Health Association, the Centre of Excellence for Child Welfare, and the City of Ottawa’s Public Health Branch.
Ms. Anderson also served as Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Chronic Diseases in Canada, covering various epidemiological and public health subjects.
