Community Commitments

Have you ever considered lending small amounts of money through microfinance?
At The Alder Group, we have found that through sites like Kiva.com a little does indeed go "a long way".

As an organization, we also take pride in our projects that have helped make a positive impact on the health of Canadians and our communities. Here are some examples of work we've carried out which has made a difference:

Producing pamphlets, resources and Web sites on early childhood development.

Developing smoking cessation and prevention strategies and resources, including initiatives targeting youth and young women.

Contributing to policy development in support of improved healthcare for new mothers and seniors.

Creating initiatives to support pediatricians in their role in advocating healthy, active lifestyles for kids.

Developing resources for suicide prevention.

Creating initiatives and products to support literacy and access.

Contributing to the development of more child-centered divorce and custody laws and practices.
Creating curriculum modules for primary schools on key issues such as healthy weights and HIV/AIDS.
Developing and delivering training programs on child development for recreational leaders and coaches across Canada.
Contributing to Canada’s participation and leadership in global health promotion advocacy initiatives.
Evaluating a range of health promotion and social policy initiatives and programs for a range of clients across the country.

The Alder Group’s team is personally and professionally committed to helping improve the life of communities. Giving back through volunteerism is central to our success as individuals, consultants and business leaders.
