Brian Hyndman, Principal Consultant
Brian Hyndman brings extensive experience in program planning, evaluation design and applied research on health promotion policies and strategies to the team. With a Masters of Health Sciences degree in Community Health from the University of Toronto, Mr. Hyndman has served as a consultant for a number of public health research and evaluation initiatives. These have included the Community Action Program for Children (Brighter Futures) project, the Royal Commission on New Reproductive Technologies, the National Forum on Health , the Ontario Task Force on the Primary Prevention of Cancer and the World Health Organization Committee on Health Promotion Evaluation.
Before joining The Alder Group in 2005, Mr. Hyndman served as a consultant for the Health Communication Unit at the University of Toronto, where he provided training and capacity building services in program planning, evaluation, logic model design and policy development.
Mr. Hyndman also served as an instructor with the School of Health Services Management, Ryerson University, where he designed and taught courses in research methods and program evaluation. A former President of the Ontario Public Health Association, he is currently serving as a citizen representative on the Toronto Board of Health. He was recently appointed Vice Chair of the Capacity Review Committee to restructure the delivery of public health programs and services in Ontario.
